Play Carrom with the rules at hand

Open Carrom, check the instructions and begin a round. Clear your nine carrom men after the queen is covered. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Make your first input carefully and watch the result. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Play a casual Carrom match using the house rules shown here. Tournament penalties and multi-board match scoring are not used.

Practice with a purpose

Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Understand the aim

Clear your nine carrom men after the queen is covered. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Start with a deliberate move.

A walkthrough of the rules

  1. White starts; set striker aim and power.
  2. Own-colour pockets earn another shot.
  3. Cover the queen with an own-colour man in the same or next shot.
  4. Striker fouls return one own pocketed man if available.
  5. Finish your colour after a covered queen.

How to interact with the game

Touch to aim; sliders set power and angle; striker-position controls and Shoot. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Look at the feedback after the action.

A closer look at one example

Queen and own man in one legal shot cover immediately. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Choose a deliberate next step.

Avoid this misunderstanding

The last own man returns if the queen remains uncovered. Compare the situation with the worked example. Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal.
